COSOMA TO HELP BRING PROFESSIONALISM IN MOVIE TRANSLATION IN MALAWI

The copyright society of Malawi, has stepped on another gear clean the film translation industry in Malawi. Cosoma has decided to take this step as a result of most unprofessional translation of foreign movies into the Malawian language.

Cosoma Executive Director Dora Makwinja said on Wednesday during their meeting in Blantyre, that they have already started the process of making sure that the translation of the movies are done in a very professional way.

“Most of these translations are being done unprofessionally and so, we have come in to help them and make sure that the work done is professional,” Makwinja said.

she further said that the translations that are happening now are mostly unauthorized and Cosoma will now make sure that the translations are being done in a legal manner and professionally at the same time.

She said they have engaged Linguistics Department at University of Malawi to help in capacitating these players on how they can do their work professionally.

Lulu and Piksy Listed as Malawi 2063 promotion Champions
